flood #2
Gilberton, PA
June 11, 2020
June 11, 2020
Gilberton flooded due to water overflow during bridge construction. Everyone knew it was not a natural disaster because it only rained 3 1/2 inches that day; the construction company did not manage the project properly.
During the flood of 2006, it rained 17 inches. In 2018, the most recent flood, the town was not entirely consumed. In 2018 the trailer survived.
On June 11, 2020, the trailer flooded all the way up to the ceiling. Richard called me but it was too late. The town filled up fast.
One of the plaster Santas was in the trailer when it flooded. On July 18, 2020 Patrick and I dug three holes around the trailer and buried the three parts of Santa that had broken into a trinity.
