Dara is my elderly neighbor in Ridgewood, Queens, who moved here from Serbia forty years ago. For this piece I painted a replica of Dara's living room and posed in front of it, wearing all the outfits she gave me in me exchange for translating her mail and completing other chores. As we got to know each other, the outfits she gifted became more intimate.
